Partnerships & Collaborations

Taleemabad is Pakistan’s largest edtech organization, and Rumi reaches teachers only where a government, a school network or a community organization has chosen to build with us. This page shows where we work, who we work with, and how funders and new partners can join.

Partnerships around the world

TANZANIA

Our partner Silverleaf Academy supports 231 government schools in Moshi District, Kilimanjaro Region. Together with Silverleaf and Elimu Soko, we are bringing Rumi to teachers across that network.

PALESTINE

LearnJam and the British Council signed a partnership in June 2026 to bring Rumi to 500 schools and about 5,000 teachers in the West Bank. Teachers are already using it in Arabic.

KENYA

We have started a pilot with SHOFCO, reaching 60 teachers in 2026 and then expanding to 200 teachers in 12 public schools.

YEMEN

We are preparing to bring Rumi to public schools in Yemen. With our local partner Core Insights Consulting, we are building Mudareb, a version aligned to the national curriculum.

Partnerships in Pakistan

Our government work spans four regions. In Islamabad, we work with the Federal Directorate of Education in 341 schools. In Rawalpindi, in Punjab, Rumi runs in 310 government schools, coached by the district’s own education officers. In Balochistan, we work in 20 schools, where a randomized trial led by the World Bank’s DIME team has been measuring results. In Sindh, we work with the Sindh Teacher Education Development Authority. Partner networks extend that reach: the Moawin Foundation brings Rumi to 179 schools and the Akhuwat Foundation to 300. Our research partners, the Aga Khan University Institute for Educational Development, CERP, and Georgetown University, where we work with Professor Jishnu Das, test whether Rumi improves learning.

How We Collaborate

Government Partnerships

We work closely with government bodies to implement evidence-based policy changes that drive systemic reform. From eliminating high-stakes exams to curriculum restructuring, our collaboration with the Government of Pakistan is already creating measurable improvements in education.

NGO Partnerships

We partner with NGOs to expand our impact in underserved communities. Together, we can reach students in remote areas, improve teacher training programs, and develop education solutions that address local needs.

International Organizations

Our international partners help us bring global best practices in education to Pakistan. From funding to strategic guidance, our collaborations help scale our programs to reach millions more children.

Why we raise funds

Governments can sustain Rumi once it is working, but the steps before that need philanthropic funding: adapting Rumi to a new curriculum and language, training teachers, supporting early rollouts, and running independent evaluations so that public systems can decide with evidence. Our next steps are in Punjab, where the provincial government has committed in writing to expand Rumi to roughly 6,000 schools, depending on the results of the Rawalpindi evaluation, and in Tanzania, Palestine and Yemen, where we are working with education ministries to bring Rumi into public schools.

Become a Partner

We welcome conversations with foundations, institutional donors, governments, multilateral agencies and individuals who care about children’s learning, especially children growing up in conflict. A funder can support a country, a province or a stage of the work, such as adaptation, rollout or evaluation. Grants from international funders go to The City of Education Inc., our US 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and our work in Pakistan is carried out through Orenda Welfare Trust. Organizations that want to adapt Rumi for their own school systems are equally welcome. To start a conversation, write to info@taleemabad.com.
